Horse Riding

An energising coffee from the Marsden Street General in Boorowa,
Then hit the road to explore the picturesque countryside in a direction of your choice.
As the morning sun streams through your windows, enjoy the stunning scenery unfolding in front of you.
Make your way to your desired destination for some exploration, then return to Little Plains in the evening to witness a breathtaking sunset over the hills.
Unwind with a cold beer on the verandah, or even a glass of wine by the fire-the perfect ending to a lovely day.

Bike Riding

Crookwell, Laggan & Taralga (1 hour, 15 mins to Taralga – the furthest village)

Explore the historic streets of these charming villages, all located within a short distance from each other.
Browse the local shops and boutiques including the Lindner Quality Socks Factory in Crookwell – an outlet that sells socks made from locally sourced merino wool.
For the history buffs, visit the Laggan Public School Museum (a historic school turned museum), and the Taralga Historical Society Museum where you can learn about the town’s history and heritage.
Enjoy scenic walks in the surrounding farmland and national parks, or even the stunning limestone caves and formations at Wombeyan Caves.
Immerse yourself in the local food and drinks scene which includes The Laggan Pantry, The Laggan Brewing Co and The Argyle Inn, Taralga where you can also take home some house-made sourdough and delicious pastries.

Jugiong (1 hour away)

A delightful little village located on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Despite its size, Jugiong packs a big punch, offering a surprising number of attractions to keep you engaged for the whole day.
The Long Track Pantry stocks local seasonal produce and award-winning jams, chutneys and sauces. There is also a gift shop and a cafe.
The Sir George serves local wines and seasonal produce under the shade of the snow pears in summer, and beside crackling open fireplaces in the winter. This historic pub also offers a whiskey lounge and a wine cellar. There is often live music on Sundays in the beautifully landscaped gardens. After lunch, head upstairs to Curators Collective – a treasure trove of fashion and homewares.
Finish off the day with a massage at Parlour J Health & Beauty, or sample something naughty from Lickety Splits Gelato Bar. And whilst you’re misbehaving, grab a bottle of something local for dinner from the Jugiong Wine Cellar next door.

Young (50 mins away)

Explore the charm of Young, the bustling heart of the Hilltops Region, nestled amid orchards and olive groves. Known as Australia’s Cherry Capital, Young celebrates its annual National Cherry Festival.
